Company Secretary

Mr. Suvash Jamarkattel serves as the Company Secretary of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited (MBL), bringing over 16 years of extensive experience in banking, finance, and corporate governance. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring robust governance practices, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination between the Board of Directors, management, and regulatory authorities.

Mr. Jamarkattel currently also serves as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited, where he oversees key business and operational functions. His leadership is defined by strategic insight, operational discipline, and a strong commitment to institutional excellence.

A qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Mr. Jamarkattel holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He also holds a Professional Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, reflecting his strong academic grounding in finance, law, and global banking practices.

Previously serving as Deputy General Manager of the Bank, Mr. Jamarkattel brings extensive cross-functional experience across multiple domains, including Finance & Planning, Treasury & Correspondent Banking, Infrastructure & Corporate Lending, Microfinance, Credit Portfolio Management, Remittance, Human Resources, Business Intelligence, Compliance & Operational Risk, and Branding & Promotion. Alongside his strategic leadership roles, he continues to serve as the Company Secretary of the Bank.

In his capacity as Company Secretary, Mr. Jamarkattel is responsible for overseeing Board and committee affairs, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and facilitating transparent and timely communication with stakeholders, including regulators such as Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), SEBON, and other relevant institutions. His role is instrumental in upholding high standards of corporate governance and aligning the Bank’s operations with statutory and regulatory requirements. As Company Secretary, Mr. Jamarkattel is committed to fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical governance, ensuring that the Bank continues to operate with integrity while delivering sustainable value to its stakeholders.
