Note: Institutional customer here means organizations (such as NGOs, INGOs, Trust and other non-profit making organizations) that are legally eligible to operate through savings accounts.

*Charges are free for the first year only. Charges as per Standard Tariff of Charges shall be levied from second year onwards.

Documents Required :

For Individual Customers

  • Duly filled Personal Account Opening Form
  • Identification documents such as Citizenship Certificate /Valid Passport issued by Government of Nepal
  • Two recent Passport (PP) size photographs of the account holder
  • Identification documents of Nominee (Citizenship Certificate /Valid Passport) along with PP size photograph of the Nominee
  • Duly filled KYC form (as and when required)
  • Any other documents specified by NRB from time to time

For Institutional Customers

  • Duly filled Non-Personal Account Opening Form
  • Memorandum of Association (MOA) and AOA (Article of Association) / Constitution (Whichever applicable)
  • Copy of Registration document from concerned authority
  • Copy of Certificate of PAN/VAT registration (Where applicable)
  • Copy of latest Audit Report
  • Legal Identification Documents such as Citizenship Certificate /Valid Passport of the Board Members/Working Committee and Account Operators
  • One recent Passport (PP) size photograph of the Board Members/Working Committee and Account Operators
  • Duly filled KYC form along with supporting documents of Board Members/Working Committee and Account Operators
  • Any other documents specified by NRB from time to time
