Account opening available through the web portal under product code SBNRN
Online account opening shall be processed as per the approved “Online Account Opening Procedure”
*Charges are waived for the first year only. Charges as per Standard Tariff of Charges shall be levied from second year onwards.
Any one of the following documents:
- Valid copy of Passport, or
- Valid Non-Resident Nepali Identity Card issued by the concerned authority of the Government of Nepal, or
- Valid NRN Card issued by Non-Resident Nepali Association along with Nepali or foreign passport, or
- Passport/Citizenship of a foreign country (except SAARC countries) if the customer or their father, mother, grandfather, or grandmother was previously a citizen of Nepal.
Proof of relationship in case of minor account, along with guardian’s supporting documents
Duly filled account opening form
Two recent passport-size photographs of the account holder
Documents disclosing source of income and origin of funds in the account
Duly filled KYC form along with supporting documents if the account operator is other than the account holder
In case of nominee inclusion, identification documents of the nominee (Citizenship Certificate / Valid Passport) along with passport-size photograph
Additional documents and information as required under the Bank’s Procedural Manual, operational guidelines, and NRB directives from time to time.
