Overview
MBL Ek Byakti Ek Khata is a savings account introduced under the Government of Nepal’s “Kholau Bank Khata Abhiyan, 2076” campaign. The product is designed for individuals who do not maintain accounts with any Banks and Financial Institutions (BFIs), enabling easy account opening with simplified documentation requirements.
Product Features/Benefits

Initial deposit of NPR 100 shall be credited by the Bank

Minimum Balance Requirement: NPR 100

Free first cheque book issuance

Available only for natural persons

Simplified account opening form

Customers maintaining accounts with MBL or any other BFIs shall not be eligible for this account

Declaration regarding non-availability of other bank accounts shall be included in the separately designed account opening form

Annual transaction limit: NPR 100,000

Customers must convert/change the account category if annual transactions exceed NPR 100,000

Additional information and standard account opening documentation shall be required upon account conversion
Required Documents
Duly filled simplified account opening form (separately designed)
Citizenship Certificate / Valid Passport and/or any valid identification card issued by the Government of Nepal
One recent passport-size photograph of the account holder
Duly filled KYC form along with supporting documents (if required)
In case of nominee inclusion, identification documents of the nominee (Citizenship Certificate / Valid Passport) along with passport-size photograph
Additional documents and information as required under the Bank’s Procedural Manual, operational guidelines, and NRB directives from time to time
